Job summary

Lloyd's Register International is seeking two Sensory Support Officers to deliver high-quality service to Deaf, hard of hearing, or hearing loss service users in Cumbria. The role focuses on assessments, equipment provision, and safeguarding within community and home settings.

The positions are part-time (30 hours per week) with a pro-rata salary of £26,140 per annum and a flexible closing date. You will coordinate appointments, provide guidance, and collaborate with other agencies as needed,

Qualifications

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of risk assessment and risk management.
  • Understanding of safeguarding procedures and data protection regulations.
  • Commitment to continuous personal development and training.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct assessments, provide technical equipment and guidance while managing risk and safeguarding issues.
  • Offer information and guidance on benefits, housing, and income maximisation where needed.
  • Refer individuals to other agencies when required and guide users to appropriate resources.
  • Coordinate service user appointments for re-equipment/advice in homes or community venues.
  • Attend drop-ins as required and adhere to organisational policies and core values.
