Job summary

ConSol Partners is seeking an experienced Technical Sales Engineer focused on sensors to drive design-in opportunities across UK customers. You will work with Design Engineers, R&D and technical teams to understand application requirements and influence sensor solutions.

You will develop opportunities from initial technical challenge through to design wins, production and recurring revenue, collaborating with procurement and commercial stakeholders to build long-term relationships.

Qualifications

• Broad sensor knowledge across multiple technologies (temperature, pressure, position, proximity, optical, force, motion, magnetic, humidity, flow, current, gas).
• Ability to engage credibly with Design Engineers, Electronics Engineers, R&D teams and engineering managers.
• Experience in design-in and application-led technical sales for sensor solutions.

Responsibilities

• Develop and grow opportunities with new and existing customers from initial technical challenge to design win and production.
• Work directly with Design Engineers, Electronics Engineers, R&D teams, Systems Engineers and Engineering Managers to gather requirements.
• Recommend and specify sensor technologies based on customer applications.
• Support evaluation, samples and prototype development with customers.
• Provide technical input throughout the customer development process and influence sensor selection for design wins.
• Manage opportunities through to production and recurring revenue, coordinating with procurement and commercial stakeholders.
• Build long-term technical relationships with customers and act as trusted sensor advisor.
