Job summary

Global Payments is seeking a Senior zOS Systems Programmer to join its Mainframe Software Team in London. You will design, develop, maintain and support critical enterprise systems and platform services underpinning our global commerce operations.

You will lead upgrades, performance tuning and platform optimisation, troubleshoot complex production issues, mentor peers, and collaborate with infrastructure, architecture and security teams to deliver reliable, scalable solutions while upholding

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in systems programming within large-scale enterprise environments.
• Strong knowledge of operating systems, middleware, automation tooling and performance tuning.
• Proven ability to analyse and resolve complex technical problems in mission‑critical systems.
• Experience supporting highly available production platforms with a focus on reliability and resilience.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence technical and non‑technical audiences.
