Job summary

Ernest Gordon Recruitment Limited is seeking a Workshop Manager in Goole to lead a busy workshop, plan workloads, monitor quality and safety, and drive continuous improvement while coordinating with the office on repairs and costs.

The role runs Monday to Friday, 8 am to 5 pm, with a path to develop the workshop team within a well-established company supplying bespoke ventilation systems across the UK.

Qualifications

• Experience in workshop management within manufacturing
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Ability to plan and prioritise workloads to meet deadlines
• Commitment to health and safety standards in a busy workshop

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day operations of the workshop
• Supervise, motivate and develop workshop technicians
• Plan and allocate workloads to meet deadlines
• Monitor productivity, quality and health & safety standards
• Order parts, tools and workshop equipment
• Liaise with the office regarding repairs, progress and costs
• Work Monday to Friday, 8 am – 5 pm
