Job summary

Ramboll is seeking a Senior Project Manager with business development experience to lead onshore wind projects in the UK and Ireland. You will oversee Owners Engineering, manage multi-disciplinary teams, and work with clients to win new business, contributing to Ramboll's expansion in UK onshore services.

The role offers autonomy, collaboration with global experts, and travel to client sites. Office locations include Edinburgh, Glasgow, Bristol or London, with flexibility for other sites.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in project managing the technical scopes of onshore wind farms including design work, procurement, development and construction management.
• Strong understanding of the key drivers that make a project a technical and commercial success.
• Experience in business development, comfortable with engaging clients and prospective clients.
• Self-starter who is comfortable balancing competing demands across projects, clients and business development.
• Ability to build long term relationships with clients.
• Collaborative working style and a problem-solving mindset.

Responsibilities

• Project manage onshore wind scopes including Owners Engineering in the UK market (but potential to be involved in wider geographies).
• Lead client projects covering all aspects of the project’s lifecycle from origination and feasibility, development, construction and repowering.
• Lead project teams of multidiscipline experts to deliver across varied technical and commercial scopes including civil, electrical, environmental and procurement.
• Manage tender proposals coordinating technical inputs from experts and more junior consultants and ensuring that it is commercially attractive.
• Supporting the Head of Business Development with sales activities in the UK onshore market including generating own leads and managing existing clients and building new relationships.
