Job summary

AM Global seeks a Quality & Welding Engineer to provide specialist QA for welding, fabrication, and inspection across projects. You will be the technical authority on weld quality and ensure compliance with codes, standards, and contract requirements.

The role supports QMS/IMS development, procedure updates, and continual improvement when not deployed on project welding scopes. Strong auditing and supplier oversight experience is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field; IWE or CWEng preferred.
• Weld inspection experience; CSWIP 3.2 qualification preferred.
• Experience reviewing and approving WPS, WPQR/PQR, and welder qualifications.
• Working knowledge of welding and fabrication standards (ISO 15614, ISO 9606, ISO 3834, ASME IX).
• Familiarity with ISO 9712 and NDT certification schemes.

Responsibilities

• Review and approve WPS, WPQR/PQR, and welder qualifications.
• Provide on-site welding surveillance and inspection at supplier facilities.
• Witness and authorise NCRs and support corrective actions.
• Conduct supplier and fabricator audits and technical reviews.
• Support development and updates of QMS and IMS related to fabrication.
