Job Description:

Are you a passionate and creative individual with a love for weddings and events? Do you thrive in fast-paced environments and excel at connecting with people? If so, we have the perfect opportunity for you! The Castlefield Rooms, an award-winning events venue in Manchester City Centre, is now on the lookout for a Senior Weddings & Events Coordinator to join our fabulous team.

The Castlefield Rooms was newly refurbished in January 2023 and is linked to Dukes 92 (Manchester’s best-loved canal-side bar). It comprises three dedicated event rooms and hosts a variety of weddings, corporate events, and private parties of up to 250 guests.

What you’ll be doing

  • Responding to all enquiries, whether corporate, social, or weddings, and identifying sales opportunities
  • Ensuring a high conversion rate of enquiries to sales
  • Conducting venue show-arounds with clients, demonstrating knowledge of the venue, menus, and packages
  • Producing detailed proposals and contracts, liaising with clients to understand their event requirements and informing them of terms
  • Communicating with the Operations team to ensure each event exceeds client expectations
  • Maintaining high customer satisfaction levels before, during, and after events, including post-event feedback
  • Building strong relationships with all departments, including kitchen, front of house, and head office
  • Carrying out spot checks at events to ensure operational standards
  • Researching markets to identify opportunities and benchmarking
  • Organizing and participating in Wedding & Event Open Days and Wedding Fairs

This role requires an enthusiastic, positive individual with exceptional attention to detail and a passion for hospitality and delivering excellent weddings and events. Previous experience in a similar role is essential.
