Qualifications

• B.Sc Computer Science or demonstrable equivalent knowledge.
• Minimum 5 years of experience developing high-performance, data-driven websites.
• Experience with MVC web frameworks (Django preferred).
• Experience with JavaScript and Python 3.8+.
• Familiarity with modern web standards, including HTML5 and CSS3.
• Experience with Linux or UNIX-like systems.
• Experience with Apache and ReactJS.
• Experience with SQL Databases such as PostgreSQL.
• Experience with Python unit testing and full-stack web testing.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, extend, and maintain web software functionality; create customer documentation; act as project manager.
• Design end-to-end solutions covering the full stack of web applications, including front-end visualisations, backend API interactions, and SQL queries.
• Implement automated unit tests and ensure changes are production-ready.
• Help with production operations and ensure features are correctly implemented in production environments.
• Provide input into sprint planning and participate in team meetings.
• Participate in peer code reviews and requirements gathering; write technical docs and specs.
• Participate in testing and support production systems outside of normal hours to ensure availability.
• Mentor other engineers; act as SME for one or more systems/technology.
