Job summary

Global Payments is seeking a Senior Web Developer to join the TRANSAXpay Payments team. You will develop web apps, from consumer payment pages to merchant APIs and internal tools, while prioritising client-centric integration with our services.

You will collaborate with stakeholders, resolve issues, and continually improve payment solutions within a hybrid working model based around Birmingham, UK.

Qualifications

• Proficient in Java, HTML, CSS and REST APIs with Spring Boot.
• Experience with Gradle or Maven and Oracle SQL.
• Familiarity with Git/GitHub and basic networking concepts.

Responsibilities

Make your mark at one of the biggest names in payments. We’re looking for Senior Web Developer to join our ever-evolving TRANSAXpay Payments team and help shape the future of global commerce. Whilst web development skills are crucial, a background payments and fintech would be extremely beneficial.

What you’ll own

• You’ll be developing our web-based applications from consumer-facing payment pages to merchant-facing APIs and internal support tools.
• Taking the time to really understand their needs, you’ll support our clients as they integrate their systems to the services offered by Global Payments.

About the team

Our Product and Technology teams are the Globalpayers behind the game-changing products and digital experiences we’re best known for. Striving for better, they never stand still - delivering impactful innovations that power transactions across the world.

Our TRANSAXpay Development team is a small, tight knit community of 25 developers, project managers and testers, mostly based around Birmingham, U.K., but also in Scotland, the Netherlands, the USA and India. Our nominal base is our office in Birmingham, U.K., but we operate a hybrid working model and have a few permanently remote workers.

We develop payments solutions under our TRANSAXpay brand predominately covering credit/debit/store card/gift card acceptance through Chip and PIN payment terminals. We also support fuel card acceptance for a number of different brands as well as online ecommerce payments and our own closed-loop stored-value solution.
