Job summary
Murphy is recruiting a Project Engineer to support our expanding Water & Wastewater portfolio, delivering full design‑to‑operation solutions for Uisce Éireann, Northern Ireland Water and other key clients. The role focuses on detailed technical design, optioneering, and assurance to meet regulatory and safety standards.
You will work within multi‑disciplinary teams on complex clean water and wastewater infrastructure, contributing to sludge treatment and bioresources and supporting AMP
Qualifications
- Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Process, or Environmental Engineering or closely related discipline.
Responsibilities
- Develop and optimise technical designs for water and wastewater projects.
- Lead technical optioneering, hydraulic and process modelling, and scheme appraisals.
- Provide high‑level technical assurance and review of designs, specs, drawings and contractor submissions.
- Resolve complex technical queries during design, construction and commissioning.
- Ensure compliance with standards (DWI, EA, Ofwat), CDM 2015, and health & safety requirements.
- Support site inspections, testing, commissioning oversight and handover documentation.
- Collaborate with design teams, contractors and stakeholders to integrate MEICA elements.
- Contribute to innovation and digital delivery (BIM, GIS) and bioresource optimisation.
