Job summary

Worley is seeking an experienced Senior Hydrologist to join its Water team in London. You will lead hydrology, flood risk and drainage assignments, coordinate multidisciplinary inputs and support client relationships on projects across energy, infrastructure and renewables.

Responsibilities include rainfall analysis, model development, climate change considerations and delivery of robust reports for regulators and stakeholders. Mentoring and business development are also involved.

Qualifications

• Degree in Hydrology, Water Resources Engineering, Civil Engineering, Environmental Science or Geography.
• Chartered status, or progress towards chartership.
• Strong practical experience in hydrology, flood risk and drainage.
• Ability to produce clear, technically defensible reports for clients and regulators.

Responsibilities

• Lead hydrological, flood risk and drainage assessments for major development projects.
• Deliver rainfall analysis, catchment assessments and flood estimation studies.
• Prepare Flood Risk Assessments, hydrological studies and surface water drainage strategies.
• Develop, apply or oversee hydrological/hydraulic models and interpret results for design teams.
• Assess climate change implications and contribute to mitigation strategies.
• Provide technical review and quality assurance for reports and calculations.
• Contribute water-related inputs to environmental assessments and permitting studies.
• Mentor graduates and consultants and share knowledge through networks.
