Job summary

Stantec is seeking a senior water resources specialist to join our multidisciplinary team in the UK. You will plan, deliver and implement water resource projects, ensuring alignment with scope, budget and regulatory requirements while developing junior colleagues across technical areas.

You will engage with water companies, regulators and a wide range of stakeholders, applying hydrological, hydrogeological and environmental assessment expertise across WRMPs and drought planning.

Qualifications

• Degree in a relevant subject (Geography, Geological Sciences, Environmental Science or Civil Engineering).
• Postgraduate qualification in Hydrology, Hydrogeology or Water Resources Management preferred.
• Chartered or working towards CIWEM, ICE or Institute of Water.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, delivery and implementation of water resource projects within scope, budget, and timescale.
• Engage with water companies, regulators, and stakeholders including regulators and authorities.
• Support development of early career colleagues across WRMPs, Regional Water Resource Plans, Drought Plans and modelling.
• Build trusted relationships with clients and deliver complex programmes with technical rigour and commercial awareness.
