Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Senior Water Network Modeller in Leeds to lead the delivery of water network modelling projects across UK frameworks. You will calibrate hydraulic models using InfoWorks WS Pro, InfoWater Pro, and Synergi Water, supporting optimisation, leakage reduction and resilience initiatives.

You will mentor junior modellers, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and help shape long-term investment planning in the UK water sector.

Qualifications

• Degree qualified (or equivalent) in Civil Engineering, Water Engineering or related discipline.
• Experience delivering water network modelling projects within the UK water sector.
• Strong knowledge of industry-standard modelling software such as InfoWorks WS Pro, InfoWater Pro, Synergi Water or equivalent.
• Experience leading the technical delivery of modelling projects.
• Good understanding of network optimisation, leakage management and pressure management.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience mentoring or supporting the development of junior engineers or modellers.

Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of water network modelling projects across multiple frameworks.
• Develop, calibrate and analyse hydraulic models using industry-standard software.
• Deliver studies related to network optimisation, leakage reduction, pressure management and resilience.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, Project Managers and clients to develop practical engineering solutions.
• Support project planning, technical reviews and delivery of high-quality modelling outputs.
• Mentor junior modellers and share technical knowledge across the team.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of modelling processes and digital delivery.
