Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Principal Water Network Modeller based in Leeds to lead a range of water network modelling projects, delivering high-quality solutions for clients and mentoring engineers within the team.

You will oversee projects from network optimisation to long-term investment planning, driving technical governance, innovation and collaboration across UK and global teams. Strong leadership and stakeholder management are essential.

Qualifications

• Degree qualified (or equivalent) in Civil Engineering, Water Engineering or a related discipline.
• Extensive experience delivering water network modelling projects.
• Strong knowledge of industry-standard modelling software such as InfoWorks WS Pro, InfoWater Pro, Synergi Water or equivalent.
• Experience leading technical delivery across complex modelling programmes.
• Strong understanding of network optimisation, leakage management and pressure management.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience mentoring and developing technical teams.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership across a broad range of water network modelling projects.
• Lead multidisciplinary teams, oversee technical governance and drive innovation across modelling capability.
• Lead projects focused on network optimisation, leakage and pressure management, network rehabilitation, smart network operations and long-term investment planning.
• Contribute to business development activities, support project planning and mentor engineers across the team.
