The role focuses on leading design delivery for water and wastewater projects, providing technical leadership and shaping the civil engineering team.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a Design Manager or senior design role.
• Experience delivering civil infrastructure or water projects.
• Strong knowledge of design standards and design coordination.
• Understanding CDM 2015 and Principal Designer responsibilities.
• Experience leading and mentoring a design team.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management.
• Commitment to health, safety and environmental standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop in-house design team.
• Coordinate civil and infrastructure design from concept to delivery.
• Undertake Principal Designer duties per CDM 2015.
• Oversee drawings, calculations, specifications, reports and estimates.
• Ensure designs meet client requirements and standards.
• Manage design programmes and resources to meet deadlines.
• Collaborate with project managers, clients and external consultants.
• Drive innovation and professional development within the design function.
