Job summary

Tetra Tech is seeking a Design Manager to lead multidisciplinary water infrastructure design across major water and wastewater schemes and regulated projects in the UK. You will coordinate design teams with Project Managers, engineers, clients and partners to ensure safe, efficient and high-quality outputs.

Qualifications

• Degree qualified in an engineering discipline and ideally Chartered Engineer.
• Experience delivering water and wastewater projects within multidisciplinary teams.
• Knowledge of the UK water industry, NEC contracts and CDM Regulations (Principal Designer/Designer duties).
• Significant experience in design governance, technical assurance, stakeholder management and resource coordination.

Responsibilities

• Design delivery and management across water/wastewater schemes and regulated projects.
• Provide technical leadership and coordinate design packages.
• Governance, assurance and risk management across projects.
• Collaborate with clients, operational teams, consultants and external partners.
• Mentor engineers and Design Managers to build a high-performing team.
