Job summary

Aldwych Consulting is seeking a Senior Water Engineer to take ownership of water and drainage projects in a growing team. You will manage schemes from feasibility through to detailed design and construction while collaborating with clients and authorities.

The role emphasizes technical leadership, mentoring junior engineers, and contributing to bids and business development within a supportive, employee-owned environment.

Qualifications

• Technically strong Water Engineer with ownership mindset.
• Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering; Chartered status advantageous.
• Experience delivering projects from feasibility to detailed design and construction.

Responsibilities

• Deliver water engineering projects from feasibility and concept through detailed design and construction.
• Develop SuDS, drainage and flood alleviation schemes for public and private clients.
• Undertake hydraulic modelling and analysis to support engineering solutions.
• Produce high-quality civil and drainage design packages.
• Prepare technical reports, drawings, calculations and specifications.
• Work directly with clients, authorities and stakeholders to progress schemes.
• Support project and commercial management, including programmes and resources.
• Provide technical input on complex projects and bids.
• Mentor junior engineers and collaborate across teams.
• Ensure sustainability, health and safety and buildability.
