Job summary

Aldwych Consulting Ltd in London is seeking a Senior Highways / Drainage Infrastructure Engineer to join its growing Infrastructure team. You will lead highway and drainage design packages, work across feasibility to construction, and mentor junior staff while delivering high-quality infrastructure solutions for public and private sector clients.

The role offers hybrid / flexible working, a competitive salary, and opportunities to coordinate with clients, authorities and contractors.

Qualifications

• UK consultancy experience in highways, drainage or both.
• Proficient with AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
• Experience with InfoDrainage and/or Site3D is advantageous.
• Strong understanding of relevant design standards and guidance.
• Confident communicator with good written and verbal skills.
• Able to manage multiple projects and priorities.
• Chartered or working towards Chartership welcomed, but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Leading or contributing to highway and/or drainage design packages
• Preparing and reviewing technical reports, drawings and design outputs
• Delivering projects in line with agreed budgets, programmes and standards
• Supporting fee proposals and ongoing project management
• Liaising with clients, local authorities, statutory bodies and contractors
• Attending client and design team meetings
• Guiding, supporting and mentoring junior team members
• Working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary environment
