Aldwych Consulting is seeking a Senior Water & Drainage Engineer to join the Richmond-upon-Thames team. You will lead water engineering schemes from feasibility through detailed design, coordinating with clients and authorities.
The role covers SuDS, drainage, flood risk management and hydraulic modelling, with opportunities to mentor junior engineers and progress toward Chartered status in a flexible, hybrid working environment.

I'm working with a growing, employee-owned civil and environmental engineering consultancy that is looking to strengthen its Water and Environment team in Richmond with an experienced Senior Water Engineer.
The consultancy has an excellent reputation for delivering sustainable and technically innovative water engineering solutions across the public and private sectors. Its work spans SuDS, flood risk management, flood alleviation, drainage, hydraulic modelling and nature-based solutions, with projects designed to provide long-term benefits for communities and the environment.
With a strong pipeline of work and continued growth, this is an excellent opportunity for a Water Engineer looking to take greater ownership of projects, develop client relationships and contribute to the continued development of a growing team.
You’ll be involved across the full project lifecycle, working on schemes ranging from smaller-scale SuDS interventions through to larger flood alleviation and drainage projects.
Your responsibilities will include:
We’re looking for a technically strong Water Engineer who is confident taking ownership of projects and communicating with clients and stakeholders.
You’ll ideally have:
Experience in areas such as flood alleviation, foul water design, GIS, natural flood management or river restoration would also be beneficial.
