Job summary

Project Partners is seeking an experienced Contracts Manager in Hemel Hempstead to lead the rising main programme and other wastewater projects. You will ensure delivery on time, within budget and to quality standards, liaising with clients, engineers and subcontractors.

The role requires 10+ years in water/wastewater delivery, NEC contract administration, and strong leadership. Travel is required, with a permanent, full‑time position based on site in Apsley.

Qualifications

• Experience managing civil engineering/wastewater projects.
• Proven ability to manage NEC contracts and client relationships.
• Strong budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed project plans with scope, schedule, and budget.
• Allocate labour, materials and equipment to meet programme needs.
• Monitor costs and ensure delivery within budget and targets.
• Manage project schedules and milestones for timely delivery.
• Identify risks and implement mitigation strategies.
• Maintain client communications and progress updates.
• Lead subcontractors and site supervisors for seamless execution.
• Ensure compliance with quality standards and safety.
• Maintain project documentation and change control.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements.
