Job summary
Buro Happold is seeking a Senior Waste & Logistics Consultant to deliver innovative solutions that foster a circular economy in the built environment. The role can be based in Bath, London, Manchester or Edinburgh with hybrid working.
You will join the Waste Operations, Logistics and Flow team, collaborating across disciplines on projects from sports venues to new cities, and supporting policy, route optimization, and waste treatment options while mentoring colleagues and pursuing business
Qualifications
- Academic background in waste management, engineering, logistics, or environmental science.
- Experience in waste management or related fields.
- Passion for circular economy.
Responsibilities
- Develop waste and logistics strategies for diverse projects.
- Calculate waste generation rates and plan efficient routes.
- Select storage and transport methods for goods and waste.
- Explore innovative waste treatment options.
- Technical report writing and bid preparation.
- Mentoring junior members of the team.
- Business development.
- Leading and managing select projects both technically and commercially.
