Job summary

Biffa Group in South Kirkby, Wakefield, is seeking a Senior Waste Data & Weighbridge Supervisor to lead the weighbridge and data function. The role requires coaching teams, ensuring staffing, and delivering accurate operational and contractual reports from multiple sites.

The ideal candidate will have advanced Excel skills, strong numerical abilities and proven leadership. It is an on‑site role with 37.5 hours per week and a salary up to £34,500 per annum.

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of weighbridge operations and data recording systems.
• Strong understanding of waste classification and EWC codes.
• Excellent numeric, analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Demonstrated people management and leadership skills.
• Experience with advanced Excel reporting and data analysis.

Responsibilities

• Lead the weighbridge and waste data function across the Wakefield contract.
• Ensure staffing levels meet operational requirements.
• Provide coaching and performance feedback to team members.
• Ensure uninterrupted operation of all contract weighbridges.
• Provide hands‑on weighbridge cover during absences or peaks.
• Ensure compliance with contractual, regulatory and company procedures.
• Manage collection and validation of operational data for reporting.
• Produce accurate operational, contractual and management reports.
• Utilise Excel and reporting tools to support decision‑making.
