Job summary

UPS Supply Chain Solutions in Coventry is seeking a Quality Inspector to support assembly inspection with a focus on dimensional and positional accuracy. The role involves inspecting materials and final products, reporting quality status, and driving improvements.

The successful candidate will have a High school diploma or equivalent and at least two years of inspection experience with mechanical parts. This is a permanent, on-site position with a strong emphasis on GMP/ISO documentation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED or equivalent.
• Demonstrated strong math skills without a calculator.
• Minimum of two years’ experience with inspecting mechanical parts and assemblies.

Responsibilities

• Inspects and reports on manufacturing quality.
• Inspects incoming materials, packaging, labeling, WIP and final products with basic inspection gauges.
• Initiates rejection reports for non-conforming materials.
• Ensures proper completion of required documentation in accordance with GMP and ISO requirements.
• Performs activities in Quality Control such as incoming, CQA and final product inspections.
• Drives process changes, reports quality metrics, and ensures proactive improvements.
• Documents quality issues and performance measures for management review.
• Documents corrective actions and tracks follow-up activities.
• Prepares and presents quality status and performance improvements.
• Identifies and champions resolution of quality issues.
