Job summary

United Parcel Service of America, Inc. is seeking a Quality Inspector in Coventry to ensure dimensional and positional accuracy across materials, components and finished products.

You will inspect materials, label and packaging, report non-conformances, and maintain quality documentation according to GMP and ISO standards. The role involves supporting continuous quality improvements, tracking metrics, and presenting status updates to management.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; relevant quality control or manufacturing knowledge preferred.
• Two years of experience inspecting mechanical parts and assemblies.
• Strong math abilities without the use of a calculator are expected.

Responsibilities

• Assemble inspection reports and record dimensional/positional accuracy.
• Inspect incoming materials, packaging, labeling components, WIP and final products using basic gauging.
• Initiate rejection reports for non-conforming materials and ensure proper documentation.
• Perform inspections in the Quality Control department (incoming, CQA and final products).
• Drive quality improvements, report metrics, and track corrective actions and follow-ups.
• Present quality status and performance improvements to management.

This position impacts the organization by assembly inspection to include dimensional/positional accuracy., Inspects and reports on manufacturing quality.

Inspects incoming materials, packaging and labeling components, work-in-process and final products using basic inspection gauging.

Initiates rejection reports for non-conforming materials.

Ensures proper completion of required documentation in accordance with departmental, GMP, and ISO requirements.

Performs activities in Quality Control department such as incoming, CQA and final product inspections.

Drives process changes, reports on quality metrics and ensures proactive measures are taken to achieve quality goals.

Documents quality issues and performance measures for management review.

Documents corrective actions and tracks subsequent follow-up activities.

Prepares and presents quality status and performance improvements.

Initiates rejection reports for non-conforming materials.

Identifies and champions resolution of quality issues.
