The Plumbing Distribution Company Ltd (PDC) is hiring a Warehouse & Logistics Manager in Chelmsford to take overall responsibility for the warehouse and delivery operation. This hands-on role leads a team of 10-12, plans resources, monitors KPIs, and works with Directors to improve processes while ensuring stock control and safety.

The role offers a starting salary of £42,500, a permanent full-time schedule (43.75 hours, Mon-Fri), and a company bonus scheme as part of a growing family-run

Formación

• Experience managing warehouse teams and/or delivery drivers.
• Strong organisational, scheduling and resource planning skills.
• Experience leading a team of around 10-12 people or a similar sized operational team.
• Experience using KPIs to monitor and improve operational performance.

Responsabilidades

• Take overall responsibility for the day-to-day warehouse and delivery operation.
• Lead, motivate and manage warehouse and logistics employees, including induction, training, performance, and development.
• Plan daily and weekly staffing, workloads, delivery schedules, and resource requirements.
• Oversee goods-in, storage, picking, packing, loading, and dispatch operations.
• Maintain high standards of stock accuracy and investigate discrepancies, damage, losses, and picking errors.
• Coordinate delivery routes and schedules, responding effectively to customer requirements and staff issues.
• Provide regular operational and KPI updates to the Directors.
