Job summary

GE’s SMS Manufacturing facility in Stafford seeks a Lead Warehouse & Inventory Specialist to manage materials and personnel. You will ensure stock accuracy, drive cycle counts, and coordinate with procurement to prevent shortages in a fast-paced production environment.

The role requires SAP ERP experience, strong coaching abilities, and excellent communication to operate across levels. You will guide a small team and support continuous production efficiency at the Stafford site.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college with Sourcing / Supply chain education preferred; or equivalent experience.
• Experience using SAP ERP.
• Supply Chain Experience.
• Excellent coaching background.
• Experience using data to influence others.
• Exceptional numeration aptitude.
• Excellent IT skills.
• Experience in managing a team.
• Proactive.
• High level of Excel knowledge.
• Excellent communicator.

Responsibilities

• Organise workload to meet business demands and contribute to objectives.
• Manage the Warehouse and Main Storage team including attendance, holidays, and priorities.
• Ensure materials are available for continuous production operation.
• Review material shortage risks and coordinate with procurement to mitigate issues.
• Coordinate cycle counting and stocktake procedures.
• Lead on material variances and use 8D methodologies to resolve.
