Job summary

Summers is an 11 bedded Organic Assessment Ward within Older People’s Services for Tameside & Glossop, located in the Etherow Building at Tameside Hospital. An enthusiastic, self-motivated Band 7 Ward Manager will oversee the assessment, treatment and delivery of care to patients, in partnership with the multidisciplinary team.

• Experience managing an older adults mental health ward.
• Ability to supervise staff and provide clinical/management supervision.
• Budget monitoring and forecasting responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Oversee ward budget and monitor with Service Manager and Finance.
• Work with multidisciplinary teams to adopt a multi-agency approach to care.
• Supervise and support staff; initiate induction programmes for new staff.
