Job summary

N/A is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Process Engineer to develop and maintain wafer fabrication processes for III-V devices. You will collaborate with Process Development, Integration, and Product Engineering teams to drive yield and reliability.

Responsibilities include designing processes for Photolithography, Plating, and Sputtering, maintaining SPC charts, and supporting ramp to volume manufacturing in a 24/7 fab environment.

Qualifications

  • BS degree with 8+ years in clean-room manufacturing; MS/PhD preferred.
  • 3+ years of production wafer fabrication and high-volume manufacturing.
  • Experience with III-V compound semiconductor device fabrication.
  • Proficient in JMP, Minitab and Python for data analysis.
  • Strong collaboration and communication across cross-functional teams.
  • Experience with DOE, SPC rules and control charts.
  • Ability to work 24/7 fab schedule.

Responsibilities

  • Document processes and SPC charts.
  • Analyze data to correlate defects with process parameters.
  • Provide analysis and docs to deploy processes into volume manufacturing.
  • Ramp processes into volume manufacturing.

Job description

Senior Manufacturing Process Engineer (Mfg Waferfab)

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain processes for fabrication of compound semiconductor wafers; collaborate with Process Development, Integration, and Product Engineering teams.
  • Support Product Engineering with First Pass Yield and Failure Analysis to enhance performance and yield of photonic devices.
  • Design, develop, and qualify various manufacturing processes, including Photolithography, Plating, Sputtering deposition, etc.
  • Maintain processes with emphasis on statistical process control, sustain yields, and improve yield targets.
  • Improve manufacturability and defect reduction by working with process engineers.
  • Develop and maintain documentation and statistical process control charts.
  • Analyze data and correlate defects with process parameters across process areas.
  • Perform process development and sustaining engineering for GaAs/InP wafer processes.
  • Provide detailed engineering analysis and documentation to support process deployment and ramp into volume manufacturing.
Requirements
  • BS degree with over 8 years in clean‑room manufacturing; MS/PhD preferred.
  • Over 3 years of experience in production wafer fabrication and high‑volume manufacturing.
  • Experience with III‑V compound semiconductor device fabrication (lasers, photodetectors, integrated photonics).
  • Proficient in statistical data analysis tools (JMP, Minitab) and Python.
  • Proven ability to execute projects independently.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills across cross‑functional teams.
  • Experience with DOE, SPC rules, control charts, and manufacturing operations.
  • Ability to handle projects independently and adapt to flexible 24/7 fab support schedule.
Pay Range

P40-USA-1: $87,550.00 - $125,050.00
