Qualifications

• 10+ years managing complex tech/industry communications programs.
• Experience counseling senior executives and working with external advisors.
• Strong network across traditional and non-traditional media.
• Proven track record building or improving teams, processes, or systems.
• Creative thinker who can handle day-to-day and ad hoc requests.
• Curiosity about AI and hands-on use of AI tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategic comms planning using earned media, social, events, and podcasts.
• Oversee day-to-day account work and ensure high-quality deliverables.
• Guide clients through transitions like fundraising, IPO readiness, leadership changes.
• Show how communications drives business results and evolves functions.
• Apply AI insights to improve quality and speed.
• Collaborate with senior management to identify client needs and deliver integrated solutions.
• Represent Teneo in the Bay Area and build presence.
