Job summary

Gallagher is seeking a Senior Vice President, Head of Property, to lead risk-based client engagement and growth across the Bermuda/London markets. This high-visibility role focuses on strategic leadership, staff development, and cross‑sell initiatives within AJG’s property practice.

The role requires deep insurance knowledge, strong negotiation and relationship-building skills, and the ability to drive revenue growth while upholding AJG’s values and governance standards.

Qualifications

• Experience in insurance and risk management.

Responsibilities

• Identify new business opportunities and build the property pipeline.
• Develop strategies to expand relationships and cross-sell with other lines.
• Participate in industry events to increase brand visibility.
• Generate new business income in line with AJG principles and values.
• Oversee day-to-day activities of the property broking team.
• Analyze market conditions and provide informed client advice.
• Lead client renewals with strategy, market analysis, and negotiations.
• Build relationships with carriers and underwriters in the property market.
• Mentor junior brokers and recruit as the book grows.
• Collaborate with the Managing Director on growth and strategic initiatives.
