Job summary

National Trust’s Peak District team seeks a Senior Visitor Experience Officer to develop and deliver visitor-led programmes across Longshaw Estate and High Peak Estates. You will join the Visitor Experience team, coordinating events, volunteering and on-site interpretation to create memorable experiences for a diverse audience.

You’ll travel across sites, work weekends during peak times, and support accessibility while contributing to conservation messaging. DBS checks apply.

• Strong communication and relationship-building skills across teams and partners.
• Experience interpreting and connecting people with nature and heritage.
• Well-organised, able to work at pace and meet deadlines.

• Experience supervising volunteers.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver projects, events and experiences for a wide range of visitors.
• Collaborate with Visitor Experience and Welcome Teams to ensure high-quality programmes.
• Create and run seasonal events and manage volunteer groups including guided walks.
• Develop the visitor journey with a focus on improved access and on-site interpretation.
• Inspire visitors to connect, learn and care for nature and heritage through engaging approaches.
