Job summary

The National Trust in the Peak District is seeking a Communications and Marketing Officer to support three properties in the National Park. You’ll travel between Ilam Park, Longshaw Estate and Edale, delivering engaging content and campaigns that connect people with nature and the area’s rich history.

We offer flexible working from portfolio offices, mileage reimbursements, and opportunities to shape local stories. Interview date is 2nd November 2026.

Qualifications

• Familiar and confident with marketing techniques, including digital and social media.
• Creative with strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Someone who puts people first, and understands why great customer service matters.
• Skilled in IT (including Microsoft Office).
• Able to use and edit digital media, with knowledge of design, image, video and web editing tools.
• Good at solving problems, and able to work on your own initiative.

Responsibilities

• Create content for and manage web and social media channels.
• Copy writing and creating promotional materials.
• Write press releases and handle press enquiries.
• Support campaigns that deepen connections with the National Trust.
• Travel across the portfolio to sites and work on diverse storytelling projects.
• Follow image capture and storage guidelines and align with brand voice.
