About the Role

Moody’s Ratings is seeking an experienced videographer and video/audio editor to produce digital media showcasing our expertise on risk, covering topics like transition finance, private credit, digital finance, and emerging markets. This senior video editor will collaborate with producers, editors, and financial analysts to create engaging video podcasts, explainers, and short-form videos for diverse audiences.

Responsibilities

1. Work with producers and hosts to create compelling, digital-first content across various channels.
2. Manage multiple projects at different stages under tight deadlines.
3. Coordinate in-person recordings with proper equipment and lighting to ensure high quality.
4. Conduct remote recordings to optimize audio and video quality.
5. Provide feedback to hosts and guests for natural and engaging presentation.
6. Edit video and audio based on feedback and judgment.
7. Deliver content timely following established processes.
8. Optimize content for social media platforms such as YouTube, Instagram, and LinkedIn.
9. Upload and publish shows on major podcast platforms.

Team & Culture

The Research Graphics & Multimedia team within Moody’s Ratings Research department includes software engineers, data journalists, and multimedia specialists. The Senior Video Editor collaborates with these team members to produce multimedia assets that communicate key credit messages to global financial markets. Qualifications

• 5+ years creating digital videos at a major media or news organization, preferably with a finance or business focus.
• Portfolio of digital media work.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in journalism, film, communications, or related fields.
• Excellent shooting and editing skills, experience with multicamera studio setups, and proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere, After Effects, Audition).
• Experience with DaVinci Resolve and motion graphics is a plus.
• Experience recording podcasts and editing audio.
• Strong interest in current affairs and ability to meet deadlines without sacrificing quality.
• Ability to manage all aspects of video production independently and with teams.
