Job description

  • NUSA STUDIOS is a social-first content studio. We’re an agile team of 16 in-house creatives, producers, shooters and editors. We combine scalable creative ideas with an agile production approach.
  • Founded during the pandemic, we’ve created thumb-stopping content campaigns for some of the world's most recognised brands including Ford, Casio & American Express, as well as a few of the hottest startups such as Surreal, Estrid & Lucky Saint.

The Role:

This is a senior position within our post-production team. You’ll be responsible for owning projects end-to-end, with a key focus on elevating our colour grading output, mentoring junior editors, and collaborating with directors, producers and creatives to ensure visual storytelling hits the highest standard across all deliverables.

Responsibilities:

  1. Lead the post-production of commercial and branded content, especially social-first video for platforms like TikTok, Instagram, YouTube and Meta.
  2. Own the colour pipeline for the studio, setting and maintaining high grading standards across projects using DaVinci Resolve.
  3. Perform advanced colour correction and creative grading with a deep understanding of tone, mood and brand visual identity.
  4. Take the lead on larger-scale edits, from offline through to polished final delivery - delivering not just technically sound edits, but visually compelling ones.
  5. Collaborate closely with Directors, DOPs, Creative Leads and Producers to interpret briefs and translate them into world-class content.
  6. Maintain clear and consistent post workflows, naming conventions, archiving and project organisation.
  7. Provide mentorship, feedback and quality control support to our team of midweight and junior editors.
  8. Contribute motion design, animation and visual effects elements where needed to enhance the visual storytelling.
  9. Stay ahead of platform trends, post-production techniques and AI tools that can improve workflow and elevate quality.
  10. Ensure all deliverables are adapted for the appropriate platform and aspect ratio, with consideration for best-in-class user experience on each.
  11. Manage multiple timelines and oversee the delivery of edits to tight schedules without compromising quality.

About You:

  1. 6+ years of professional editing experience (agency, in-house or freelance), with a solid track record of delivering for premium brands or fast-growing startups.
  2. Expert-level proficiency in DaVinci Resolve, especially the Colour and Fairlight pages.
  3. Strong eye for cinematic colour, composition, contrast and skin tones — you know how to bring footage to life.
  4. Proficiency in Adobe After Effects and familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro).
  5. A natural visual storyteller, with a keen sense of pacing, sound design, rhythm and emotional tone.
  6. Strong communication skills — you're confident in articulating creative decisions and giving/receiving feedback.
  7. Up to date with current video editing, motion graphics and grading trends.
  8. Experience working with AI-enhanced editing tools (e.g. Firefly, ChatGPT, Generative Fill, etc.) to streamline and supercharge the edit process.
  9. Comfortable taking ownership of projects, while also being a collaborative team player.
  10. Bonus: Experience building LUTs, working with RAW formats, or developing colour pipelines for studios.
  11. Bonus: Experience assisting on shoots to inform edit decisions and grading approach.

What to Expect:

  1. Exciting, fun and fast-paced creative studio environment - you’ll be our 17th hire!
  2. Opportunity to work with global brands & exciting startups.
  3. Hybrid role with a priority of on-site working (with 2 days WFH).
  4. Independence in your role and seeing a project grow from idea to completion.
  5. Prospect of growing with the company and moving into a more senior role.
  6. Regular team activities and socials (that don’t just revolve around drinking).
  7. Yearly NUSA holiday (we took the team to Crete, Greece last year)!
  8. 10am – 6pm office hours with a 1 hour lunch break (with flexibility to do 9am-5pm if you wish).
  9. Free drinks and snacks in the office.
  10. All the tools you need: an iMac, desk & monitor setup in our studio.
  11. A strong focus on personal development (quarterly OKRs & courses/training/events available).
  12. Check out our TikTok to see what life at NUSA is like (just search NUSA STUDIOS)!
  13. £40-45k depending on experience and skill level.

Inclusivity:

  1. NUSA STUDIOS is an equal opportunity employer and we hold ourselves accountable to represent the incredible diversity of thought that exists around us.
  2. We are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees without regard to ethnicity, religion, national origin, age, disability, sexual orientation or gender identity.
