Job summary

ABS Group in Aberdeen is seeking a Verification Engineer to Senior Verification Engineer to perform onshore and offshore assessment of safety-critical equipment and documentation on energy installations worldwide. The role spans oil & gas and renewable sectors, providing regulatory guidance and verification services globally.

The successful candidate will lead verification activities, prepare technical reports, and maintain documentation with clients and ABS teams.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent with engineering discipline.
• Familiar with Offshore Safety Regulations and risk assessment techniques.
• Experience in verification or safety-critical assessments.
• Proficiency in English for regulatory reporting.

Responsibilities

• Act as ABS specialist for verification activities.
• Perform routine verification examinations on units for which ABS is IVB.
• Prepare reports of verification examinations.
• Engage with clients to resolve problems and maintain verification docs.
• Maintain verification files in area of responsibility.
