Job summary

Motorpoint in Burnley is seeking a skilled Warranty Technician to join our team. You will diagnose and repair complex faults, perform engine and gearbox work, and ensure high standards of documentation for warranty submissions.

The role requires IMI Level 3, proven diagnostic experience, and strong communication with customers. You will mentor junior colleagues, support DVSA and health & safety standards, and help uphold the reliability of our nearly-new cars.

Qualifications

• IMI Level 3 (or equivalent) qualification.
• Proven experience in advanced vehicle repairs and diagnostics.
• MOT testing qualification or willingness to support.
• Strong communication and accurate administration/documentation.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and resolve advanced faults using OEM diagnostic platforms.
• Perform major mechanical repairs including engine and gearbox replacements.
• Document findings and repairs for warranty submissions.
• Mentor junior technicians and support DVSA and health & safety standards.
• Liaise with customers to explain diagnostics and build trust.
