Job summary

Hawk Hiring in Kettering is recruiting an experienced Vehicle Technician to oversee on-site technical operations in a small family-run workshop. The role offers high autonomy, no weekend work, and the chance to work on unique high-end vehicles.

You will conduct deep mechanical work, engine block teardowns, major overhauls, comprehensive diagnostics, and independently manage repair timelines while maintaining a neat, safe workshop.

Qualifications

• Time-served mechanic with deep engine repair capability and overhauls.
• Level 3 NVQ/IMI in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair or equivalent.
• Full UK Driving Licence required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all standalone technical operations within the workshop.
• Perform deep-level mechanical repairs including engine overhauls.
• Diagnose faults across high-end vehicle systems.
• Manage repair timelines independently with minimal supervision.
• Maintain clean, safe and organized workshop bays.
