Job summary

ASI Recruitment seeks an experienced Senior Vehicle Technician for an established independent garage in the Haywards Heath area. Monday to Friday, 9am–6pm (45-minute unpaid break). You will work on all makes/models with your own ramp and workload, in a friendly team with 10–15 years at the site.

Salary up to £50,000 for the right candidate, DOE. Overtime available; 20 days holiday + bank holidays. This role offers stability and variety in a busy workshop environment.

Sick of being treated like a diagnostic tool with legs?

Our client is looking for an experienced Senior Vehicle Technician to join their established independent garage - and this could be the job where your career finally gets a decent service history.

This is a genuinely friendly workshop where the team has been together for 10-15 years each. So there's no revolving door, no daily game of "Who's left this week?", and thankfully, no need to spend your lunch break hiding from management.

The Job

You'll be working Monday to Friday, 9am-6pm (45-minute unpaid break), with no Saturdays - although overtime is available if you actually enjoy spending extra time with cars.

You'll have your own ramp, your own workload and plenty of variety, with all makes and models coming through the door.

We're looking for someone who can:

• Diagnose faults without immediately blaming the previous technician
• Carry out servicing, repairs, maintenance and diagnostics to a high standard
• Work independently and take pride in their workmanship
• Handle a variety of makes and models - because apparently they can't all just be Toyotas
• Keep customers' cars on the road and their colleagues' blood pressure down
