Job summary

Hippo is seeking a senior user researcher to lead research activities and guide multidisciplinary teams in delivering people-centred services. You will champion inclusive UX research, mentor researchers, and collaborate with clients and stakeholders to define the best approach for complex problems.

The role requires travel to our UK offices and on-site work at least two days per week, with a competitive salary and benefits package including pension and flexible options.

Qualifications

• Experience applying user research across environments.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary Agile teams for people-centred services.
• Understanding accessibility/assisted digital needs.
• Proven champion of user research or service design approaches.
• Experience line-managing or mentoring researchers.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management.
• Good understanding of other Agile roles in design, product and tech.

Job description

Salary: £59,000 - 99,000 per year

Requirements:

• Expertise in applying user research methodologies across different environments
• Experience of working in multidisciplinary Agile teams to design and deliver people-centred services
• Working knowledge of how to research accessibility needs or assisted digital needs
• Proven experience of championing user research, user-centred design or service design approaches
• Experience of line management or mentoring/training other user researchers
• Advanced communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to manage conflict and convey difficult messages with tact and sensitivity
• A good understanding of other Agile roles across design, product and tech
• Strong consultancy and leadership skills, and confidence in exploring problem spaces with clients to determine the most appropriate way forward
• Candidates need to be located within reasonable travelling distance from one of our UK offices and open to travel and working on-site at least 2 days per week
