Job summary

Hippo is seeking a senior user researcher to lead research activities and guide multidisciplinary teams in delivering people-centred services. You will champion inclusive UX research, mentor researchers, and collaborate with clients and stakeholders to define the best approach for complex problems.

The role requires travel to our UK offices and on-site work at least two days per week, with a competitive salary and benefits package including pension and flexible options.

Qualifications

• Experience applying user research across environments.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary Agile teams for people-centred services.
• Understanding accessibility/assisted digital needs.
• Proven champion of user research or service design approaches.
• Experience line-managing or mentoring researchers.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management.
• Good understanding of other Agile roles in design, product and tech.

Responsibilities

• Advise clients on solving complex problems with research and agile methods.
• Lead multidisciplinary teams to design services meeting user needs.
• Advocate inclusive approaches in user research.
• Build relationships with clients while challenging ideas and managing conversations.
• Line-manage researchers and coach colleagues on best practices.
• Support recruitment, events, blog-writing and winning new business.
• Promote people-centred design offerings internally and externally.
