Job summary

Monzo is seeking a Senior User Research Manager to shape the future of Personal Banking. Lead research across Core Banking, influence executive decisions, and develop leaders across multiple teams.

You’ll partner with Product, Design, Engineering and Data Science to align roadmaps with business strategy. The role involves expanding internationally and building a scalable research operating model.

Qualifications

• Leading senior researchers and/or research managers within a complex product organisation.
• Shaping and influencing product strategy through research at organisational and executive level.
• Working across multiple product areas, bringing together disparate customer insights into a coherent strategic narrative.
• Navigating complex stakeholder environments with competing priorities, metrics and timelines.
• Partnering with Product, Design, Engineering and Data Science leaders to influence roadmaps and business strategy.
• Combining qualitative research with quantitative signals, product data and market insights to develop strategic recommendations.
• Building alignment across large organisations and landing new ways of working with multidisciplinary teams.
• Coaching research leaders while maintaining a high quality bar across multiple teams.

Responsibilities

• Leading research across Core Banking and shaping Personal Banking research strategy.
• Partnering with Core Banking Leadership, Product Directors, Design leaders and senior stakeholders.
• Help define and land Monzo's global research operating model as we expand internationally.
• Connect customer insights across collectives and identify themes, opportunities and gaps.
• Bringing together research, product data and market insights to inform leadership decisions.
• Manage managers and a team of 6-8 direct/indirect reports while maintaining quality.
