Job summary

Centre for Cities is seeking a Policy Lead / Senior Policy Officer to strengthen policy capacity by scanning the policy environment, developing credible positions and connecting with central government, mayors and the policy community.

The role focuses on urban policy, devolution, housing, transport and other policy areas, with autonomy to identify opportunities and create impact. Hybrid working with in-office days at London Bridge.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years' relevant experience, though capabilities matter more than years served.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and identify emerging urban policy issues, assessing changes and value for Centre for Cities.
• Develop policy ideas and initiatives from concepts into outputs (blogs, briefings, events).
• Contribute to policy development across urban policy areas and translate research into recommendations.
• Identify gaps and opportunities within Centre for Cities’ policy agenda.
