Job summary

Corehr is seeking a Senior Unix/Linux Systems Engineer to support services across the School of Computer Science & Informatics and IT Services. The role requires extensive systems administration experience, with Red Hat–based Linux and Oracle Linux knowledge considered beneficial; authentication against Microsoft Active Directory is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience with Red Hat based Linux server operating systems.
• Authentication against Microsoft Active Directory.
• Experience in large enterprise or academic environments is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Liaise with School of Computer Science & Informatics and ITS colleagues, using the service-management system to progress requests and incidents.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues promptly within agreed response times.
• Collaborate across teams to implement and maintain customer-focused IT services using modern systems technologies.
