Job Description:

We are recruiting for a leading Lloyd's MGA seeking a Senior Underwriter to join their FI team in the City of London. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in FI/D&O underwriting, focusing on SME to Mid Market regions and handling global business. The role involves new business development and renewals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Underwriting & Risk Assessment: Underwrite and negotiate D&O and FI accounts, ensuring risk quality and alignment with company strategy within your authority.
• Business Development: Drive new business and maintain broker relationships to meet GWP targets.
• Portfolio Ownership: Own underwriting decisions and the profitability of your portfolio.
• Relationship Management: Develop relationships with brokers, insurers, and clients, including travel and entertainment as needed.
• Client Meetings: Lead and participate in meetings with brokers and clients.
• Compliance: Ensure all activities comply with legislation and industry standards.
• Market Awareness: Keep informed about market conditions in SME and mid-market segments for D&O and FI.
• Strategic Contribution: Support strategic planning, identify growth opportunities, and lead in new market development.
• Team Leadership & Development: Mentor junior underwriters and improve underwriting processes.
• Risk Management: Ensure compliance with FCA regulations and maintain accurate documentation.
