What you’ll be doing

As a Senior Underwriter for Directors’ & Officers’ insurance, you will be recognized as a market leader among peers, brokers, and clients. Your responsibilities include driving profitable growth, providing excellent underwriting service, and mentoring junior team members.

You will manage an allocated client portfolio, handling new business, renewals, and endorsements, while aligning with strategic goals. Collaborate with Claims, Actuarial, and Reinsurance teams to develop innovative risk solutions and ensure appropriate coverage.

Key responsibilities

• Review submissions, including applications, policy wording, inspection reports, loss runs, and financial reports, to assess risk.
• Calculate risk premiums considering inherent risk, reinsurance cessions, and costs to ensure profitability.
• Advise and service clients proactively on insurance and risk management matters to ensure satisfaction.
• Manage relationships to identify cross-selling opportunities and retain accounts.
• Review loss control reports and manage policy endorsements.
• Support business planning, monitor financial exposure, and ensure premium income aligns with limits.
• Maintain awareness of claims and assist in claims settlement processes.

You will report to the Underwriting Manager - D&O, UK & Lloyd’s.
