This is a regulated role under the Central Bank of Ireland's Fitness and Probity regime.

What you'll be doing

As a Senior Underwriter of Directors' & Officers' insurance, you will be recognized as a market-leading professional by peers, brokers, and clients. You will be responsible for driving profitable growth by providing excellent underwriting service, leading by example for junior team members, and managing your portfolio's new business, renewals, and endorsements. You will collaborate with Claims, Actuarial, and Reinsurance teams to develop innovative pricing and risk management solutions.

Essential responsibilities include

• Review submissions, including applications, policy wording, inspection reports, loss runs, and financial reports, conducting research to assess risk.
• Calculate risk premiums considering sector risk costs, reinsurance cessions, and operational costs to ensure profitability.
• Advise and service clients on insurance and risk management, ensuring satisfaction and fulfillment of their needs.
• Manage relationships to identify cross-selling opportunities and retain accounts.
• Review loss control reports and manage policy endorsements.
• Support business planning, forecasting, and monitor financial exposure and premium income within set limits.
• Maintain awareness of claims and support claim settlements.

You will report to the Underwriting Manager - D&O, UK & Lloyd's.
