Job summary

Prismatic Ltd. in Alton, UK, seeks a Power Systems Engineer to join a growing team developing advanced electrical power systems for unmanned aerial platforms.

You will help define power architectures for UAVs, including electric and hybrid-electric propulsion technologies, and contribute to energy-efficient flight and autonomous aviation initiatives. The role involves design, testing, and integration duties across DC power generation, storage, and distribution, with opportunities to work with

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical, Aerospace, or Mechatronic Engineering (or equivalent).
• 5+ years of proven experience with DC power systems.
• Experience in UAV electrical power design and analysis.
• Knowledge of DC power system architectures and energy storage.
• Familiarity with aerospace standards and SWaP constraints.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop DC power generation, storage, and management systems.
• Define requirements and test strategies across systems including software.
• Test and evaluate power systems from unit to full integration.
• Lead battery/power integration and testing on flight trials.
• Create assembly documentation to support manufacturing.
