Job summary

LiveLink Aerospace is seeking a Senior UAV Design Engineer with 4 to 5 years of dedicated experience in unmanned aerial vehicles. You will own the lifecycle of UAV systems - from initial concept and prototyping through to integration, validation, and low-volume production.

You will blend cutting-edge mechanical design with hands-on hardware integration, working in a fast-paced environment to build, test, and refine the next generation of aerospace technology.

Qualifications

• Mechanical & structural design using Fusion 360 to deliver production-ready drawings.
• UAV architecture knowledge and system integration.
• Hands-on prototyping with 3D printing, sheet metal, laser cutting, and CNC.
• Electronics assembly, routing and soldering.
• Flight systems experience with ArduCopter and Betaflight.
• GVC certification desirable.

Responsibilities

• Mechanical & Structural Design: design high-performance UAV airframes and assemblies with CAD drawings.
• Component specification: select and specify propulsion, motors, sensors, and flight controllers.
• Rapid prototyping: build and test prototypes using 3D printing, sheet metal, laser cutting, and CNC methods.
• Manufacturing & documentation: create BOMs and build instructions for production teams.
• Systems integration & testing: wire, configure, and tune flight stacks; perform testing.
• Field operations & validation: conduct flight tests and diagnose performance issues.
• Vendor management: coordinate with suppliers for prototypes and low-volume runs.
