Job summary

Callen-Lenz in Salisbury, Wiltshire, is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to deliver systems engineering outputs across the full lifecycle, collaborating with software, electronics, mechanical, payload and platform teams to develop complex UAS capabilities.

The role reports to the Systems Engineering Manager and requires a degree in engineering or science, plus strong experience in requirements management, architectures, verification, and cross-functional delivery.

Qualifications

• BSc, BEng or MSc in an Engineering or Science subject.
• Experience applying systems engineering to multidisciplinary, safety-critical systems.
• Strong ability to manage requirements across lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Capture, analyse and manage stakeholder, customer and regulatory requirements.
• Develop and maintain system requirements, architectures, interfaces and design artefacts.
• Define and execute systems engineering processes across the development lifecycle.
• Lead system decomposition, functional analysis and allocation of requirements to subsystems.
• Develop and maintain verification and validation strategies, plans and compliance evidence.
• Define test requirements and acceptance criteria, supporting integration, qualification and flight test activities.
• Support system integration activities and resolution of cross-functional technical issues.
• Contribute to safety, reliability and risk assessments throughout system development.
• Produce and maintain technical documentation, including requirements specifications, interface definitions, verification reports and compliance evidence.
• Interface with customers, suppliers and certification authorities as required.
• Support manufacturing, test and operational teams with engineering investigations and issue resolution.
