Job summary

Seccl in London offers a hybrid role for an experienced engineer to design, build and operate scalable software using TypeScript and Node.js in a FinTech environment. You will own services from design to operation, work in a domain-aligned squad, and mentor others while ensuring reliability and performance in regulated financial workflows.

Qualifications

• Strong commercial experience with Node.js and TypeScript in production systems.
• Experience with AWS and serverless architectures.
• Experience with MongoDB as primary document database.
• Ability to mentor engineers and lead technical delivery in a build-and-run model.
• Comfort with on-call responsibilities and incident management.
• Experience in regulated environments, ideally financial services or FinTech.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement and operate services within your domain.
• Own the SLAs of your products and drive iterative improvements.
• Maintain and extend documentation for services.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to other engineers.
• Communicate effectively with non-technical colleagues about the Seccl system.
• Collaborate in a domain-aligned cross-functional squad with engineers and product teams.
